Planting
Our planting motto is "Right Plant ~ Right Place”
Our theory is that plants and their growing environment work together as a living system. Each plant species has its own unique growing characteristics and there are different growing environments in different areas of your yard. We use many appropriate “Native” plants to provide long term satisfaction while avoiding exotic plants which can be invasive and undesirable. Your design will include plants which can thrive in a beautiful composition. By balancing evergreens, using plants with a variety of interesting features and choosing plants that flower in different seasons we can extend your enjoyment the of your landscape year round. Proper planting technique will insure that new plantings acclimate to your land. All planting holes are dug to the proper depth, pot bound plant roots are loosened, and the burlap on field grown root systems is trimmed. Plants are installed with a blend of native soil and compost. To finish, the soil is shaped into an earthen basin allowing a puddle to form on the roots. Mulch and anti- desiccant spray aid in preventing plants from drying out. Our “Building Garden Soil” option will create easy to till gourmet garden soil for high profile garden areas. Lawns are the most visible part of a landscape. The most important factor in cultivating a quality lawn is the depth of organic topsoil. Smoothing the grade with craftsmanship, and using quality seed blends or sod encourages long term success. We select grass species to meet the sun and soil conditions, Right Grass~Right Place! To ensure an excellent start during the establishment period we offer an extended maintenance program.    |
