"Right Plant ~ Right Place"
.
Plants
and their environment work together as a living system. The artistic challenge is to match
plants with the different growing environments that exist, in different areas of your yard.
.
Considering each plants unique growing characteristics, size, foliage
and flowers while blending appropriate “Native” plants with traditional nursery plants,
leads to a natural looking composition.
.
Knowing which plants
to use where, while avoiding exotic plants which can be invasive, alows your design to thrive with basic care.

Proper planting technique helps new plantings acclimate to your land. Our planting holes are
dug to the proper depth, pot bound plant roots are loosened, and the burlap on field grown root systems is trimmed. Plants are installed with a blend of native soil
and compost. To finish, the soil is shaped into an earthen basin allowing a puddle to form around
the roots. Mulch and anti-desiccant spray aid in preventing plants from drying out. To help you with your gardening
hobby our “Custom Garden Soil” option creates easy to till gardens. Larger trees are transplanted using
the latest air shovel transplant techniques.
Lawns are the finishing touch to a landscape.
The most important factor in cultivating a quality lawn is the depth of organic topsoil. Exisiting conditions determine
the amount of loam we provide. Our lawns are finished with craftsmanship including, a smooth hand finished
grade, even application of amendments and seed, or sod, which are selected to meet the sun and soil conditions. Understanding
the lawns environment encourages consistent healthy green grass while significantly reducing reliance on over-watering
and over-fertilizing.
